What We Believe
The church family at Lake and Walnut strives to be a fellowship of people bound together by mutual faith in Jesus Christ and sincere love for one another. We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. We believe that our salvation is by God's grace through our faith in the Lord Jesus (Ephesians 2:8–10). The main emphasis expressed within our fellowship is that God loves sinners but not their sins.

Biblically, it is our understanding that authentic faith in Jesus expresses itself in repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus according to (Acts 2:36–38).

We accept the Bible as God inspired Word. We are committed to teaching the unadulterated truths of God our Father and His son Jesus Christ. By following the word of God as it is written we are assured that God will work wonders in our lives and through our lives.
 
Though we are not saved because of works that we have done, we believe we are saved to work wherever God decides to place us in His ministry according to Romans 12:1–8). Therefore, we encourage every member to find fulfillment in love and service to others.
